Hi,microsoft has launched vista but microsoft themselves dosent which programs are compatible with vista and the worst part is the solution for all the problems in vista is destructive recovery(LIKE IF YOU FORGET THE PASSWORD, in xp from safe mode you can change the password but in vista its not possible or the product key) ............the best thing here can be done is work with xp and its compatible with all the software and all the peripheral devices.............

Yes, Bill Gates strikes again. There is also numerous hardware items in your pc that are probably not compatible with Vista, including your MB. Also Vista Ultimate requires 1gb RAM to just run the OS. So if you have below that amount or right at 1gb, your pc will not function properly (extremely slow) or not at all. The only way ANYONE should buy Vista right now is pre-loaded on a new pc. Sorry man, thank the guys in Seattle for this one.

Just looked at the specs for your system on www.hp.com . How old is your system. HP claims to have put Vista on this machine already since Mar 07.

Hi, Unfortunately Microsoft has blundered and not told anyone. Most older programs will not run in VISTA. I hope you burnt your download to a CD, you could use it at a later date when Microsoft finaly put VISTA right. At this time you only have two choices. Buy all new software that is VISTA compatable or go back to the good old faithful XP.
