- but will the canned air do a good enough job?

- well about half a can of soda, what about taking each key off one by one?

- this that because of my brand of laptop? i only ask because i know people with dell's and they are able to pop the keys off and on, no problem. Regardless, thanks for your help
Just get some canned air, and spray away whatever debris is in the keyboard.
Taking it apart is a pretty bad idea.

- Unless you've spilled a whole can of soda in there, yes.
The specific purpose for canned air is to clean out nooks and crannies of tight spaces, so you don't *have* to take things apart.
It should do the trick, absolutely.

- You can't take the keys off one by one. The keyboard itself would have to come off in its entirety.
You're probably better off having the manufacturer do it. Taking the keyboard off, if you're inexperienced, can be difficult and result in it not working correctly when putting it back on.

Nothing happens when I hit the ''enter'' key on my keyboard - can you help? I use a laptop with an external keyboard - the enter key on the actual laptop works as it should - but for some reason the enter key on the full size keyboard isn't working - I think I might have mistakenly hit something which caused it to go dormant.... Can you help?
