IP4200 will not print pictures

Help! I have a Pixma IP 4200 color printer that will not print photos from the web. All I get is the source code, pages of it for one photo! And I have just downloaded the latest driver, re-starred my computer and still I get the same problem. Is it Windows IE problem rather than a printer problem?

This is an Internet Explorer problem.Using Vista O/S Windows IE seems to associate some or all of its searches with NotePad, and therefore prints out the source code. I could not find a solution, or a method of changing the file association in Vista or in IE, so I downloaded Mozilla Firefox, and this works fine with Vista. So, from now on I just ignore IE

There must be a better fix than this, but this has got my computer working again for now.

Canon Pixma yellow color problem

Either the ink you are using is not going to give the color you want, or you have print heads that are blocked.

Big black vertical line on back of the paper.PIXMA CanoniP4200

Your black ink seems to have spilled a bit at the nozzle. The fact is even if you do nothing it should seize staining the back of the paper after a while, so long as the spill is only temporal. But if you want it over with quickly, you may try printing quite good number of pages till you see that the stops. With every print you will most certainly observe that the stain will reduce. Otherwise if you can reach into the printer with a stick or something, you may try to clean it.

Won't print black when set for plain paper

Try removing all ink bins except black then you won't have any problems. You should also be able to go into your printer settings and select "Black and White" or "No Color" and it will print ok. Removing the ink trays is the easiest way though.

Canon pixma ip4200 printer

1) Under printer options make sure that greyscale is NOT selected. I.E. Color Printing.

2) Make sure page layout is set to 1 (Not 2 per page)

Check margins of page are set to minimum size.
