Red color faded and red color is mis-aligned.

Red color is faded and mis-aligned to the other three colors. The other three colors are fine and align perfectly to each other. Red is misaligned to the left of the other colors. Red color is faded more on the left hand side, Top to bottom, all colors line up. I replaced ALL four toners. ( they were getting low anyway thinking that this could be the problem.) Problem did not go away. I replaced the fuser...problem did not go away. On this model, the green drum in built in each toner. This model printer is comprised of fuser, toners, and transfer belt assembly. The only item I did not replace is the transfer belt assembly. If alignment was vertical instead of horizontal and if other colors were mis-aligned vertically, then I would believe issur to be transfer belt. I even plugged printer directly into wall outlet, thinking that power may be reduced as it was in a surge strip along with other electronic devices. Problem did not go away. I could try an other toner, but at $80 for a new HP red toner...I am hesitant as I already tried this.

So I am stumped at this point. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hi We've been seeing alot of the HP Color Laserjet range of laser printers coming through with a "prints lightly with red" or "red is faded" fault report, we've been able to resolve the problem mostly by cleaning the scanner. Misalignment is normally resolved therafter by calibrating the machine using its calibration function. (if it has one) Wouldnt suggest this gets tried unless one is familiar with stripping and reassembling these machines though. Hope this helps.

Our tv just started having a fuzzy image and the auto focus function aborts during the red color alignment. is there a manual alignment I can do to fix it.

What does this fuzzy image look like? Does it have ghosting shadows. Of course it is possible to align red manually from the convergence menu. But first lets confirm that it is indeed a convergence related problem.

Tv out of foucs

These procedures are from the owners manual, go into menu and then picture quality and then: Convergence The Convergence feature lets you adjust the TV’s three tubes. When the TV tubes’ images are precisely aligned, they create the color images you see on the screen. Over time, the picture can drift out of alignment (this is normal). If your picture seems fuzzy or has a yellow tint, using Convergence could correct this misalignment. Only one convergence is needed for all inputs, regardless of the signal format. Note: Make sure the TV has been on for at least 30 minutes (TV needs to warm up for best results) before starting Auto Converge or Red/Blue Centering. When you select the Convergence feature, a submenu appears with three options: Auto Converge Automatically aligns the projection lenses to self-correct color images. You’ll see flashing squares of color dance across the screen (this is normal). Note: After performing auto convergence, use the Blue Centering and Red Centering menus to fine tune convergence in the center of the screen, if necessary. Blue Centering Aligns the blue and green images to fine-tune the picture. Red Centering Aligns the red and green images to fine-tune the picture. Note: The ability to change channels is disabled when adjusting the convergence options. The TV must be tuned to a usable signal to converge the picture.

Continually says align print cartridges

My guess is that the color cartridge is either defective or not inserted correctly. I have a 6110 and know that inserting a print cartridge is a little tricky. If it isn't completely inserted and the top latch fastened correctly, the cartridge either won't work or produce errors.

Try reseating the color cartridge so it's inserted in exactly the same way as the black cartridge and run a print job again.

Open the following web page and go to Step three to see the instructions for cleaning the electronic contacts on the cartridge and print carriage.

Ink Cartridge Alignment Fails

Those seem the most likely causes and solutions to me. Good luck.
