Problem for Creative Labs ZEN V Plus MP3 Player
Dark screen for my creative zen?
This is my 2nd mp3 player (creative zen, 2gb) and after a while my screen just goes dark. I can't tell what songs are in my library or do anything else because I can't see whats going on. But, I can still hear music. Can you help me please?

The previous poster is right; I do repairs on these all the time, and the most common problem is a cracked screen. The crack is on the back so you can't see it. The screen will need to be replaced.

it seems that you may need to have the lcd changed or reconnected. if it is going dark, it is probably that the screen is faulty and that is or has gone out on you.

same problem, it looks impossible to fix becuase there is no screws or any way in getting into the inside. Looks like a lost cause....

My daughter's Zen was stepped on and the screen has been dark since. I guess that means the display is cracked somewhere and needs to be replaced. How/where can I get that done? I've googled for an answer but I'm not finding anything.
