When operating any digital camera, the camera tries to capture the best focus and exposure for that particular scene. By pressing the shutter button half-way down, the focus and exposure is being set. There will be a green circle on the upper left hand corner of the screen, then your camera is ready to take the picture. Slowly depress the shutter the rest of the way down to take the picture.

You need to be sure you are running firmware version 1.1 for the camera body. To check that have the camera dial set to P. Go to the Menu - go to the tab that has Wrench 2 - right arrow over - up arrow once and you will see firmware - right arrow over and it will show you what the firmware version is for the camera body as well as the lens. If you are not running version 1.1 for the camera body you will need to update that by using the Olympus Master software and clicking on the option that allows you to update the camera. If you need further help call Olympus Technical support at 888-553-4448 option 5.

Lens is blurred when you aim to shot

Hi,

This is a common problem with these camera's. This is either faulty screen or a problem with CCD sensor. In both situations, repair is never recommended as buying a new camera would be cost effective as compared to getting this camera repaired. Try to look at previously saved video's or images, if you still see blurred lines, it would confirm faulty screen unless if the saved video's or images are fine, and this happens only when you try to click a picture, this would confirm faulty CCD sensor.

I wish i could have a better solution.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Blurred images & screen on my Olympus camedia C55 zoom

try to take a picture with 1/100 shutter speed and make sure that your hand is not shaking when taking pictures. another is try to take picture with your current setting and set your camera on a tripod or place it on a table, set the timer and take picture. if the picture is not blurred then always set your camera to auto, if this doesn't resolved the issue maybe your lens has a problem.

Images and photos are blurred on internet

Try this:
1. Click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options.
2. On the Advanced tab, click Reset.
3. In the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, click Reset.
4. When Internet Explorer 7 finishes restoring the default settings, click Close, and then click OK two times.
5. Close Internet Explorer 7. The changes take effect the next time that you open Internet Explorer 7.

Blurred images

This is mainly due to the slow shutter speed selected by your CAM. in low light situations the cam chooses a slow shutter speed to expose the image adequately. Any shakes that may have caused during the shutter operation will cause the funny images.

use tripod or other kind of support to your camera while shootiing in low light (indoors) without flash.
