Green power comes on for a few seconds then turns red. Is this a bulb problem.

if bulb is ok and this is a DLP the ballast that fires the bulb could be bad

- The power control board that would control the lamp would be the lamp ballast board and yes these board are replaced for your problem
This board usually is not a consumer replaceable part ple contect tecnician

- have a SANYO PLV-55WHD1. Sound and mouth do not match. Do not have original remote. Using a universal remote.

Sounds like a relay circuit is not latching on when the television is turned on. This problem might be in the power supply subassembly or it might be elsewhere, depending on the circuit design, the slim ps2s will always have a red light on when switched off unless you unplug it. if the light keeps going to standby everytime you want to play and you turn it ,When the TV is powering on it is detecting an issue, possible short, overload, etc etc
