I was asked by a friend if i wanted this t.v. Iam not sure what happened before, just that there is no sound and no pic... I really don't want to spend a lot of money fixing it and was told by someone over the phone that it was probably the power supply for around $250... dont want to sink a bunch ofmoney into this for nothing....HELP!!!! the power button on the front lights but no sound or pic...philips 60pp9202 rear projection t.v.

Was there a color or sound problem prior? If not you can replace convergence amp and vertical output these are the main problems with this set. No high voltage is what's happening sounds like. Look to see if after you press power you hear sound coming from inside. If no sound then converg. if sound then vertical

Hi,
If standby light on tv is not blinking that means tv needs power up command either by remote or power button on tv itself.
Press Program +/- button on tv front to turn On tv.

Sony HD Projection TV KDP-57WS550, timer light blinks 5 times and repeats sequence. When power button is pushed sound comes on briefly, no picture, then TV goes off. Please advise.

Mine did this after a power flash. Lights blinking 5 or 6. They blink fast lol. I have sound till tv powers back down. Front yard bond fire? Or any ideas? Thx.

ower will come on to front panel. No buttons will work. No picture or sound. Have to unplug for red power on light to go OFF

most times then not it's the capacitors on your power board that blew there for not supplying the tv with enough power if you open it up and check the capacitors it should be leaking some kind of liquid or the tops have bubbled up. its an easy fix cost>>2 dollars each

Hi i have a pilips 42" plasma tv (42PF5320/79) i can hear clicking the green light is on and the tv will go into stand by if i press the power button and the red light also comes on .I have turned it on and off and it works now nothing just the light on the front as if its working looking at the back through the slots two green lights come on then the tv clicks and they turn off,thanks
