Question about RCA P56950 56" Rear Projection Television
Is a chipper checker test an expensive repair, or am I better off buying a new tv?
The chipper checker is to update the eeprom in the tv and assist with alignments. should not be to expensive from a knowledgeable repair person.....John

Is this a relatively simple thing to fix,
no it is not that simple.
it so expensive that we should just buy another TV?
no it is not expensive.
no need to buy new tv.
smell might be due to short circuit of some components which may not be that expensive
better to call skilled tech for fixing
it is not a major problem
it happens so many times.
