MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet to your computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable to the MP3 player and the computer. You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player will create a MP3 music file for each music track. For that you will need a PC/Laptop with USB port.
Connect you player to it, wait until: found new harware ILO MP3 player ...new harware is successfully installed and ready to use. After that the window will pop up: you will need to click:open folder to view files. If no window will pop up, click my computer, find the ilo MP3 player, double click.
After that you can copy your songs (in MP3 format) from any source and insert them to you ilo MP3 folder ( it might have a subfolder, called songs) and you are good to go.
Ok I have same player, same problem. Turns out Windows Media player copied the files into the FM subfolder on the device.
connect device to computer. Do not open WIndows media player, instead open windows explorer, in there you should see the ilo as a new drive. Click the drive and go into the FM folder, now select all files and drag them directly to the drive. The secret is the files have to be outside of the FM folder loose in the device (not in any folder)
After that I safley removed the device from the system tray icon and powered it on and the songs were all there. It runs an index process that creates the lists, this takes a second.
