Hey did you ever get an answer to your question?

I have the same problem

Hey I fixed the problem myself and my iron is working very well now.

What I did in order to fix the problem was to pure distilled vinegar (white do not use ordinary brown vinegar) in the base tank tank of the iron where the water heats up. I poured in 1.5 bottles until it was filled up. I left this there for a number of hours (you can leave overnight). I put the iron (not the based) in the sink and switched it on.

Brown water came out of the iron into the sink. I then pressed the stream button on the iron and the gunk came out.

The red light has stopped flashing. I flushed out the tank and iron with clean water and my iron is now working even better than before. Please remember to give the iron a good flushing out.

My steam generator Phillips Perfect Care stop working.

Based on the issues you have described with your Phillips Perfect Care steam generator, it is possible that there may be multiple problems with the unit. It is difficult to say whether it is worth repairing without knowing the full extent of the damage and the cost of repair.
The leaking water and green and blue lights could indicate a problem with the water tank or the steam generator unit itself. The fact that the electricity went off when you tried to clean it with descaler could indicate a problem with the electrical system. The whistling noise and lack of lights when you plug it in could indicate a problem with the power supply.
If the cost of repairing the steam generator is significantly less than the cost of a new one and you have been satisfied with its performance in the past, then it may be worth repairing. However, if the cost of repair is close to or more than the cost of a new steam generator, it may be more cost-effective to purchase a new one.
Ultimately, the decision to repair or replace your steam generator will depend on the severity of the damage and the cost of repair. It may be helpful to consult with a qualified technician to determine the best course of action.

Hi i have an edbs920 steam generator iron, my problem is that it will dry iron but wont steam up anymore, after turning the system on the power indicator light should turn from the flashing orange pre...

it can be that one of the thermostats controlling the water flow pump into the steam generator has become open circuit, caution is advised as this can potentially overheat the steam generator for there being lack of water, depending on your system design...i could be wrong just a guess !

Its gone off!

The green light indicates the unit thinks it is out of water. Take of rewervoir; make sure the inlets are not plugged. Open the little plug on side, clean tank w/ clear water only, and shake out all water completely. Put it all back together, but leave reservoir off. Turn on and run unit "dry". Your should hear a "flutter" sound as the unit trys to pump water from missing reservoir, the heater/steamer should be sizzling hot & pressurizing. THEN the green light if ome ON, asking you to switch it off, refill & install the water reservoir. If things don't happen in that sequence, you should be able to determine what is wrong.

Tefal Pro Express Steam Generator doesn't.

OK... so I have fixed my problem of NO STEAM, just lots of water coming out of the iron press plate itself... I had already cleaned the boiler, so I tried adding 1/4 tsp - 1/2 tsp bicarbonate soda to the water and flushing it through. From what came out of the iron press plate, I would say the problem was caused by a build up of goop (technical term) inside the iron. Once cleared, the iron is steaming away again. Please note, u will need to have an old towel handy if this is ur problem, 'cos until it starts getting better, there is a fair amount of water coming out of the iron press plate. Just add the bicarb to the water reserve and use the steam buttons to bring the bicarb through. Do not attempt to iron clothing with the bicarb in the water!!! Carolyn ;)
