Problem for Sony Handycam CCD-TRV11 8mm Analog Camcorder

Trying to watch my camcorder through my tv set or thru my vcr tv.

I have old equipment:
Sanyo VHR-9413 dbx VHS -- VCR machine (DA 4 Head hi-fi)
Sanyo TV -- MTS Stereo/SAP/dbx
Sony Camcorder -- CCD-TRV118 NTSC (Video Hi8,Handy Cam Vision, 560x Digital Zoom)
and I just bought:
Mini to RCA Stereo Audio/Video Cables, 1.8 meters
I can not get my camcorder to play thru the tv/vcr at all?? Any ideas or help for me, a not so with it woman?
