Ihave the same problem, the drum will not turn when you turn the start button. I did as you said and tried to turn it while turning the start button, it went for a little bit, but now smells like something burnt, so I unplugged it. Is it the motor, the bearing or the rollers, my belt is fine. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like the motor start winding or motor relay is bad.. or something caught in you exhast blower. See if you can turn the drum with your hand.. if so you can try, helping it take off while having someone turn the start knob if it starts you know its the motor

Hi Make sure the water taps are turned on. The humming sound is most likely from your inlet solenoids.
Check both the hot and cold water inlet hoses going to the back of your machine. Make sure they are connected properly and that the water is turned on.
If still no joy let me know and I will guide you through more trouble shooting items. Ash
it sounds like you have a bad motor and door switch. the unit should not run unless you push a start button. the humming noise is the motor. either something is blocking it or your motor is bad,
1st. Are the humming evident when the flame ain't burning? Listen carefully. The control(knob) consists of a valve that regulate the supply of gas to the burner. Check each knob(valve) individually for noise. If noise is evident on the knob(valve) contact your dealer for service or replacement of valve.
2nd. Check the gas regulator. That will be the unit that is exiting the gas bottle. Noise might be evident from the regulator due to the gas being controlled. If excessive noise is evident. Service or replacement of the unit might be necessary.
