My xbox 360 takes FOREVER to start up...and once it does, it shows the hard drive is unformatted and all the info is blank. ive had my xbox for a long time now and i cant loose all the info on my hard drive. also, it seems any original xbox games dont work, it simply restarts the xbox.
It cannot be fixed and since microsft is so stupid (still better than sony tho) they said that i had to buy a new harddrive so dont bother sending it to microsift theyll just say to u wut they said to me. "Buy a new one"

Your Hard Drive may be damaged, your harddrive may be in raw format, you may have to reformat the hard drive.

If you get the Xbox 360 1 red light message, it means that the problem is either with the DVD drive, or with the hard drive.
Fortunately, the Xbox 360 1 red light message is not something that you should worry about. In order to identify which of the two drives the Xbox 360 1 red light messages is referring to, just look the code number that the screen displays. DVD drive errors are identified with the codes E64, E65 and E66, whereas hard drive errors are identified with codes E67, E69 and E79.
Once you identify which error the Xbox 360 1 red light message is pointing to, fixing it is really easy. The guide available at Fix-xbox360.info will tell you what to do in each case, as well as what to do in case you get any of the other Xbox 360 lights messages. Check it out.

xbox takes forever to start up and hard drive is unformatted
my hard drive was unformatted but i didnt care about losing the saved games now after i reformatted it it freezes when i try to load a profile and i cant save anything
Xbox 360 Harddrive does not read in one but the other xbox360 reads might be the box but why?
I was playing rock band and I noticed that the game took like 10 minutes to save my game, and then it said there was a problem saving. So I figured that I had run out of space on the drive or something, but I checked and it said I had 9 gb left. Then I took the drive off and it played fine, but I had all my stuff saved to the drive. Is there any way I can back up my files or something?
How do I reformat the hard drive for my 360
my xbox
it wont read my hard drive
I think i have the same proplem too, cause every time i trun it off/unplug it, and the next day i trun it back on all of my games are corrupted profiles! But all my other things are the same!HELP ME!!! Now cause of this I can't play GTA4 or Naruto without this happning! HELP! E-mail me the solution at the_tommy24@yahoo.com, because I won't remember this site.
yeah i have the same problem. the next day it works
same
WHY doesn't anyone post a solution?
I reformatted mine and when I turn it on the next time it suddenly becomes unformatted again :S help is appreciated please! (:
i reformatted my xbox 3 times and still said that is wasent formatted
wtf my xbox will not read my drive. it takes for ever just to get the 360 logo out the way. then it takes me to the dashboard and says that i dont even have a hard drive in or that its empty. no profiles found nothing! xbox is the gayest system ever. next tgime i pray that they wait till it can actually run without breaking before releasing this stupid bs
mine has the same simptoms as everyone here. NO SOLUTION YET?>!!>!?
My 360 is doing the same thing. Logo stays on the screen for a while, then it shows that no profiles are found. It still detects my small memory unit, but the not the hard drive.
ive got that same thing and it's hella annoying. Microsoft said that they wouldent fix it so i have to get a new one. but im just gonna go ahead and get a new xbox all together. the resident evil one. booya
I've had this problem several times. reformatting worked for me before. I just got it again, I reformatted and that worked. But now the xbox live updates won't download so I cant go online to download my profile :S
well my problem is that for some reason only when i play halo 3 some of my maps will not load...... its says "unreadable disk". so i went to gat a new halo 3 and still says the same thing...... so i know its the hard drive.... what do i do????? im going to format it to see if it works.......
I have same problem:
can t detect profile anda cante acess live do download profile. Also can t detect actual profile to play and save cause it says can t identifie profile.
I can assure that the problem isno t with the hd cause i ve tested with a new one.
It just recently started ive had my 360 for a long time and it just tarted to when I would want to play a game I would put it in and the console wouldnt read my game it would say "Unplayable Disk" Sometimes it would read once I open and close the disk tray for a while but then in the middle of the game it would start to have glitches and I would have to restart it all over again.
my xbox want read any games and i just bought the games
i put my harddrive in my brothers 360 and it was working koo. but when he tried to help me in coop, he had to sign into a different online gamertag, he did but then when i tried to load up the game, it said that there is no previous saved memory from the game i was playin, and when i turned the xbox off, and turned it back on, it just froze at the intro. it keeps doing this unril i unplug the harddrive and it works perfecly without the harddrive. i then plugged it back into my xbox, and the same thing happened, it freezes at the intro screen. did i **** my **** up?
My son's xbox did the same thing. Just all of a sudden the Memory section shows the hard drive as unformatted. The real question is if the content can be salvaged somehow. Buy a new hard drive? Fine. But all those saved games, profiles, etc. imply a huge investment of time and energy and that's the real loss.
