My husband was kindly trying to change the passenger headlight (*non* high beam) on my 1993 Honda Accord. In doing so, he had to disconnect the battery. When he tried to reinstall it, the car alarm now goes off and the car will no longer start. The battery is new (3 years old) and was a quality battery that's supposed to last 7 years.
Unfortunately, since we bought the car secondhand, we do not have the clicker to disable the alarm.
Try this...insert the key in the drivers door, turn left, then right and see if it resets the alarm
Taker the car to a lock and alarm specialty shop they can find the frequency of the clicker for your car thru codes they have for each make and model and see if they can get you a new clicker if so that will help you disable the alarm when you don't need it
