Regarding rewind problem

Dear Sirs, This is to kindly let you know that I am a professional camera technician. Presently I am having Sony CCD-TRV12 Hi8 camcorder under repairing. The problem is that when I insert the camera the play system works well. The FF system also works well. But as soon I push the rewind button, the mechanism stops after few seconds and the entire camcorder hangs up. None of the any function works until I eject the cassette. The eject icon appears on the screen. Other wise all other functions works well. Please help me in this matter. Thanks Heero

The mechanism is to be replaced.
Before this check the TG assemblies for any deformation.
Then check the reel table also for any defects.
We provide spare parts for all kinds of SONY and Pansonic Models.

I need some hardware. I need the wire from the camcorder to a T.V. or V.C.R. Where can I obtain one?

Well, 1. sony will usually have any cables needed. 2. any best buy, type store etc will have replacements. you should take the camera in to the store with you, also shop around on the price, or take it to a local store find out the type of cable and then shop it out online. also make sure when brining YOUR camera into a store let them know at the door your taking your own camera in and need to find out a cable type. (This way there is no confusion when your walking a store with a cam corder in hand.)

Do you still have the remote control? Try with the remote. If this works, the button of the camera is broken and have to be replace by a qualified technician. Good luck!

Fuzzy unclear movie

This can be a defective CCD which senses the images.
Random moving lines and color patches are the symptoms.
We can provide this in 3 to 4 weeks from Sony.

Well Heero if you are the tech guy you say you are- and Kodak arn't helping you- this suggests a mainboard failure and the camera is not going to get repaired.

My Hitachi VM H710A plays just fine, and the picture looks fine. But when it playsback footage or records footage, five to ten seconds later, it stops abruptly, and flashes the word "TAPE". First thing I must add, is that I was using a prerecorded videotape, and was testing it from the beginning of the cassette and the middle of the cassette. I thought maybe the heads were dirty, and so I cleaned them using a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol. I cleaned the head drum with a piece of paper soaked with rubbing alcohol so that I wouldn't get any fibres in the heads. I waited for it to dry and then I put a cleaning cassette inside. To which, it still stopped abruptly five to ten seconds in during playback. I then decided to look at the manual of the camcorder and see the symptom. It says that due to temperature changes that it might cause this symptom. I placed it in a cool room and left it there all day and checked on it, and the camcorder is still doing the same thing as before hand. Then another cause said that it might sense some moisture. I made sure that the camcorder was dry externally and internally, and yet still, same problem. Thats when I decided to take it apart and look inside to see if there was anything odd inside the camcorder causing it to function the way it does. The belt seemed to be working fine, and there was no missing parts. The tracking poles and path alignment was fine, and not loose. Everything simply seemed just fine. So I am unsure as to why my camcorder is operating like this.
