HP vs17e My screen went black for a few mom...

HP vs17e monitor. My screen went black for a few moments and when it came back on I got a msg saying 'Driver not responding, system recovered' or something to that effect. Then my screen when black again and did not come back. I shut down for 15 min, restarted, checked the system and the drivers, everything was ok and then 10 min later it went black. Then when I restarted I got a 'Monitor going to sleep, no input' and nothing. Now I do not even get that msg. Just a gray screen. How do I fix?
