My ice maker tray still turns and all other components to the ice maker seem to be in good working order. I have replaced the inline water filter. The water side has never had a problem and still does not. It just does not fill the ice tray. ANy suggestions???

Re: No water to ice maker

Check the inlet valve is working in the rear of the unit, other wise the fill tube may be frozen up, try to defrost. Regards Advisor

Ice maker not working. Seems stuck. Freezer is cold. Ice maker does not move not water in try either.

After you have checked to see your water is turned on...

All the schematic diagrams I have looked at show a SEPARATE FUSE for the Ice Maker...

That is the cheapest and best trouble... and NOTHING will work without that fuse.

There is a separate water solenoid for the water... next cheapest issue (but you could eliminate that as a possibility simply by filling the ice tray manually)...

After that I would be ordering the Ice-Maker and keeping the old one for parts.

All the fill valve power and ice making SMARTS are inside the ICE-MAKER.

Good luck with that!

See below Ice Maker adj.

Samsung SRS2029CSS ice maker in side by side, won't drop the ice out of the tray. The ice stays in the tray and after turning back upright, the water dispenses again flooding the freezer. I've taken it...

Warning! To avoid personal injury or even death, always disconnect your appliance from its power source--that is, unplug it or break the connection at the circuit breaker or fuse box--before you do any troubleshooting or repair work on your appliance. Also, because some components may have sharp edges, use caution while working on your appliance.

There are three common problems with icemakers:

There's no ice
Small or too few ice cubes
Specks in the cubes

Water valve for ice maker may be bad. there are two valves with one supply line, one valve controls the water dispenser and one for the ice maker. you can ohm out the solenoids, it'll ohm if its good and won't if its bad

It’s on the back where the water supply comes in. Then try the water dispenser. The water should go to the ice maker. This will tell you weather or not the ice maker valve is working and if the line is clear.

The water inlet valve on the back of unit opens when the ice maker needs water. If the valve doesn't seal good because of sediment or wear it will continue to drip and when the water reaches the ice maker supply tube it will freeze blocking the fill tube.. You can take the water line off the valve and watch to see if it drips.

Roper Ice maker wont kick ice cubes out of tray.

Remove white plastic cover on ice maker. On bottom you will notice the heater connections, check for voltage. If good, heater is most likely bad.

Ice maker seems to be overflowing with water

check for a ice blockage inside that fill tube that sits in the ice maker.

Ice maker stop making ice for kenmore 106.56352500

The ice maker has a problem The ice maker is a separate appliance within the freezer section. Please see the How things Work section of our website to learn about the normal functioning of ice makers. Some common problems with ice makers are:

The ice maker has completely stopped producing ice
The ice maker is producing ice poorly
The ice maker has completely stopped producing ice Check to see whether the ice maker has been turned off. Here's how to check. Look for a wire along the right side of the ice maker that looks a bit like a coat hanger. If this wire is in the raised position, the ice maker is turned off. On some units you simply lower the wire to the down position to turn the ice maker on. On others, you lower a small red plastic lever to lower the wire. If the wire is in the proper position check the freezer temperature, it should be between 0-8 degrees Fahranheit. If it is warmer than 10-12 degrees, the ice maker may not produce any ice. Check your door seals and thermostat, repair/replace as necessary.

The ice maker is producing ice poorly When an ice maker is producing ice poorly--when it produces just a few cubes or none, or when the cubes are too small--it's usually because of a clogged water line or a defective water inlet valve.

First, check the water line attached to the back of the refrigerator for good water flow. To do that, first turn off the water supply valve. Then remove the water line from the back of the refrigerator. Next, place the water line into a bucket and momentarily turn the water valve back on to test the flow. If the flow is poor, you need to repair, clean, or replace the tubing or the shut-off valve that supplies the water. If the flow is good, you may have to replace the water inlet valve.

There's an ice- or water-dispensing problem The ice and water-dispensing system of your refrigerator is quite complex. Many components work together to provide the ice and water. Aside from a simple problem of a leaky water tube or a jammed ice chute, most other components are not user serviceable. We suggest that you contact a qualified appliance repair technician for such repairs.
