My Nikon D70 lcd screen doesn't display correctly the colors on the screen show in bright glowing colors, but the pictures print out great and display well on my computer screen. Is there a setting that needs to be changed?
Please clarify glowing. Do you mean all the "White" spots are outlined and flashing? If so the camera is showing you the "hot spots" of the pictures. It helps with exposure. I cant remember the D70 menu too well but i know on the D80 once you are reviewing the pictures, you press up on the "D-Pad" to show details. Shows you the histogram as well. Keep pressing up on the "D-Pad" to cycle through the details options. Or there should be a "Display" button on the back of your camera. This is easier to do when you press the review button to look at pictures.

-   well, i think there are two problems: 1) the colours on the display are incorrect. Mine show up incredibly dark and dull. i have reset the camera, but it still looks odd when i'm reviewing pics. 2) hot spots are flashing black. not sure how to get rid of this because it's annoying and distracting.

You are looking at two different monitors with different settings. In most cases you will need to do some editing yourself on your computer because of the difference. Or the brightness can be done in a lab.

My Nikon D70 acts like it's taking a picture, but I am only getting a black frame, with no image at all. It was working fine two weeks ago. Could I have inadvertantly set it to do this, or has it lost its ability to make an image? Ralph
