Re: Phone simply wont charge

Hey addysam test your charger this way, turn the light off and then insert the charger, there should be a flicker but very dim, if this occurs you will probably need a new pcb or you may have a corroded port.

Re: Phone simply wont charge

You have to use right Charger Model :PSM5049 A
Input 100/240V ~50/60 Hz .0.4A (Amper) !!!!!!!
Output 4.4V --1.5 A

The one you using probably is for Blure Tooth wich is weaker:

Model PSM 5037B
Input 100/240V ~50/60Hz 0.1A Amper
Output 5.9V 375mA

My moto q phone wont stay charged

More than likely issue with phone or battery itself. Try another battery if you have one and see if it works. If you don't have an extra battery try to find someone who has a similar phone and try battery. If you call your service provider they will try to trouble shoot issue but more than likely will get you to send phone in through warranty if your still eligible. If not eligible for warranty and don't have insurance ask about upgrade options. Hope this helped.

Moto Q charger problem

If you plug the charger into your phone and the battery icon does not change, then it means your physical connection is loose. If the battery connection does change but will not hold charge, then the battery is dead. I have managed 20 Q's in our office. Most of the time we just buy new batteries. Sometimes I fixed the connection by doing the following:

Use a needle nose plier and squueze the mini usb tip on the chargerslightly...very slightly. This will give it a "tighter" fit when you plug it into your phone. Make sure it's unplugged from the wall when you are doing this =).

Is the IDEA sim card a 3G USIM or a 2/2.5G SIM?
The A1000 is a 3G phone, and the SIM card is not the same as a 2/2.5G SIM, so compatibility is not guaranteed and may be the cause of your reboots.

Moto Q won't turn on

Hold down the center nav key and power up the unit. This will restore any files that may have been corrupted and put them to original. If you loaded a 3 party app or something prior to this may be the cause of the issue. Don't use that app.

Please help me out!!

Those check points are provided to bring the a1000 to bootloader - flash mode. If they fail to do so, and you are shure that you've connected them properly, then the bootloader is damaged. If the bootloader can't be brought online properlly, then a reflash woun't work. There is no user fix to apply to a broken or corrupted bootloader, because you simply need it to have the phone recognised by the computer. Therefore only a phone service can handle that, and most of them woun't from what I know. I had an a1000 for 1 year, did all sort of flashing, SEEM editing and such stuff on it, but then, as it is now, the problem wasn't "fixable". I am sorry for I can't provide a real help.

Dropped call

Hello. A1000 are pretty buggy as phones. This may have a lot of causes, most of them because of the software installed, lack of internal memory and so on. When I had my first A1000 I was facing similar problems or the phone simply restarted when I was browsing the menu or things like that. A solution for these problems is a ROM update. However you will need a USB cable, a interface program between the phone and the computer and a ROM file (containing flex and flash). All of this were found on but it seems the site is offline now. I'll try to search some of this for you but they are pretty hard to find as these kind of things are done in a phone service facility. Sorry for I can't assist you faster then this.
