I suspect all models of the GoGear Vibe work the same way. You turn on and off the unit by sliding and holding the switch on the side. This switch is on the opposite side from the volume controls. If you simply slide this power switch in the opposite direction, you can toggle the button lock on and off. (This locks every function except the volume control.) (Look for the power and padlock icons near the switch.)
Important: If your iPod is frozen or won't turn on, it may be because iPod is paused or the Hold switch is in the locked position. If so, a lock symbol appears on the screen. Slide the Hold switch to the unlocked position and check the screen.
To reset an iPod with a Click Wheel:
. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.) 2. Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.
Turn iPod touch off, then turn it on again. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPod touch for a few seconds until a red slider appears, and then drag the slider. Then press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears. Then, try to lock it again
