I purchased my Hitachi 43FDX01B many years ago and it has been working fine until 2 weeks ago when the color green went awry I have attempted to perform a convergence alligment, but couldnt figure out how to move the lines. The Green line is off to the right of the centre, with it splitting mid way down, forming 2 lines. Can anyone help!!

If you slap the set on the side and the colors shift and dont line up, it is most likely that one of your convergence IC's has cracked solder joints. It is also possible that the IC has burned out. The convergence IC's will have to be resoldered and possibly replaced, and that should be done by someone with experience in repairing and realigning convergence circuits in projection TV's.

There is some loose loder points at the vertical output section of the set. Find them, and resolder them by applying a little more solder.

Hitachi Model# 43FDX01B is doing a double image.

You have a convergence problem, you will need to change the convergence IC's STK392-110, there is also 12 6.8 1w resistors that need to be changed, there is also 2 fusilbe resistors that may be open. You can probably Google the IC's as a kit and find them all in one kit.
You can fix this yourself and save about $300-$400 in repair bills.

Color has changed to green tint

Hi,
According to the system the problem in your projection is convergence and the solution is to replace the IC STK's.The part Number is CZ01341. Change the IC STK both and your TV work fine again. And for parts please see the link below.

Try adjusting the convergence. If it won't move see below- (or hitting Magic Focus for some Hitachi’s)

This sounds like convergence output IC problem. convergence board would have to be removed - remove and replace 2 STK IC's and check the surrounding resistors. Shops usually $200-$400 Be sure to vote/rate me if this helped Thanks!
