right click on your drive select properties click tools you should see click check now click start two boxes
Automatically fix files and scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors place then a tick in one box then select check now start then after its finished return and tick the other box you should not do anything while the chkdsk utility is in progress any input may damage this drive.
You might get best results ticking in one box the returning after it has finished then ticking the other box.
It might take some time depending on the size of your disk but be patient.

You have to be the computers administrator to change any values on any hard drive on your computer

I AM UNABLE TO FORMAT/ OPEN SANDISK SDCZ-008G (CRUZER BLADE)


click start control panel administrative tools computer management device manager scroll down universal serial bus controllers you could see a yellow question / exclamation mark? ! or a red X

you will need to update/reinstall drivers

right click to reinstall drivers


if you can see your usb drive but its not working

ports (com&lpt) right click update driver

I am trying to restore a computer with windows vista that has crashed and windows wont cone up

  2. Click on the start menu in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.
  3. Find the words "Control Panel" in the start menu and click to open the control panel.
  4. Find and click on the icon, "Backup and Restore Center."
  5. Choose to restore your operating system using system restore or to restore your system from a previously saved restore point.
