Re: color settings

You seemed to have uninstalled your video card driver software. You will need to reinstall it, perhaps you can download it from the internet or find the installation cd. Do you know which model of video card you had? There is nothing wrong with your monitor. ZT3000 Beta tester of "0"s and "1's"

How to brighten monitor

i have a few thing to help you with this problem, but first if the monitor old, used a lot or left on all the time than it is time for new on.
first right click on screen using the mouse than go down to screen resolution than find the detect button after thats done go to Identify
select that one, after you done all that than go to advanced settings and open the folder, than check the adapter, monitor, troubleshoot, color management, than select color management check all settings.

2 way is to go to control panel open color management folder, for your general information for you monitor and other options you mite want to review understanding color management settings find advanced tab find calibrate display, it will run a lot of tests and have you answer some question about visual site and what you like in the settings of the monitor.

you mite look in to video card manufacture and see if they have any tools for the drivers game apps or programs that runs other than video card drivers, like i have nvidia video card and i went to there website and downloaded so software, nvidia control panel for gamers, 3d adjusting color settings and video image settings, change the aspect ratio, resulation, refresh rate, lots of tools for games and gamers and i do not play a lot of games but i like to have a lot of option that i would not have had before.

thank you rod

PS make sure all drivers are up to date you will find it in control panel and than open device manager and find video drives, monitors, display adapter.

Dear User...

You can adjust the brightness and contrast of your monitor to improve the readability of text and to make digital pictures appear more like they'll look when printed.

To improve the results when adjusting the brightness and contrast settings for your display, use Display Color Calibration. (Display Color Calibration helps you adjust these color settings and others.) For more information about calibrating your display color in Windows, see Calibrate your display.

The way you adjust brightness and contrast varies and depends on your specific display.

Brightness and contrast buttons on the front of the monitor. Some monitors have brightness and contrast controls on the front and use the standard symbols shown in the following image.

On-screen menu. You can change the brightness and contrast settings for some displays by using an on-screen menu, and then setting the brightness and contrast in the resulting menu. Many times, you can view the on-screen menu by pressing a button-possibly labeled Menu-on the front of the monitor.

I was cleaning the bottom of the screen and hit the color. Now it is blue and very hard to look at. I am at work, so I need this fixed

There should be a button that pulls up a menu to adjust color/contrast/ bright, etc. Press it and go through the menu options by either repeatedly pressing the menu button, or by using up-down-right left arrows. Adjust your colors using these options, or if available, try "auto" adjust.
I don't know this particular monitor, and am no "expert", but these options should be available on virtually any LCD monitor. A final option, if adjusting these does not help, look at all the menu - settings. If you see "recall" or "restore" or "default" anywhere, try selecting that option.

Good luck

What driver do i need to get 256 color on my computer?

256 colors is a quite old settings for a computer. All modern monitors/laptops come with 16 and 32bit colors, which is FAR more advanced than the old school 256 colors.

There's no driver required to support that setting as it's relatively useless and antiquated, unless you're in a situation where you need to run a program/game in 256 color mode, which you can alter by right clicking the icon, selecting properties, then the compatibility tab and checking the "Run in 256 colors " box.

Hope I was of assistance :)

Monitor color display problem

Go to the control panel. Click on display. The display applet is your next stop. The display applet is your central location for all of your display settings, including resolution, refresh rate, driver info., and color depth. The display applet has 5 tabs: Thmes, Desktop, Screen Saver, Appearance, and Settings. The 5th tab is where you make adjustments that relate directly to your monitor and video card. Look at the Settings tab. At the bottom of the dialog box, you'll see 2 options. Screen Resolution and Color Quality. By moving the Screen Resolution slider, you can change the resolution. The most common resolutions are 640x480, 800x600, 1,024x768, and 1,280x1,024.Your system may have more or fewer resolution options.

The color quality is the number of colors displayed on the screen .You can change the screen resolution with a simple slider and adjust the color depth from 4-bit all the way up to 32-bit color.

Running a 32-bit color gives a nice, realistic tone to images, and many games insist on it.

Clicking the Advance button opens another dialog box with 4 or more tabs.

The monitor tab gives you details about the currently installed monitor and enables you to make changes to the driver and the refresh rate.

After you make your changes to your monitor and it still is not working properly, it must be your video card which is not seated.
In layman term, your video card is not plugged in firmly in the slot!!

If you mean that you can't get the full color response and can not change the screen resolution beyond 640 X 480 and only 256 colors.
Sounds like you need to load the "Mother Board" driver for the VGA port. If you have a PCI video card, make sure your onboard video is turned off or disabled in the CMOS setup.
