I am trying to set up a security webcam (linksys wvc54gca) behind a comtrend ct-5621 dsl modem/router, and a wireless linksys wrt54g router.
Currently the comtrend router is giving my wireless router an ip of 192.168.1.2. The linksys router is giving the linksys wireless webcam an ip of 192.168.2.102.
I have set up the linksys router port forwarding to forward 1024-1024 to the webcam on 192.168.2.102.
The following website gives a close summary of what I did:(
http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Linksys/WRT54G/) So currently, if I type in 192.168.1.2:1024, the wireless webcam loads up immediately (great right?).
The problem is I cannot get the comtrend ct-5621 to forward an external port to the wireless router, which will then forward the port to the wireless webcam. Currently, I have the Comtrend set up using the following information. It has instructed me to set up a NAT Virtual Server that forwards port 1024 to the 1024 on 192.168.1.2 (the linksys wireless router). So in theory, if my ip address was 234.234.234.234, I could type in 234.234.234.234:1024, which would forward to 192.168.1.2:1024, which would forward to the webcam.
The following website gives a close summary of what I did:

Can anyone make a suggestion as to how I can make this available from outside the network? A security webcam is pointless if you can only view it within the network!
