Rca s1010a freezes

When first turned on, it states: "no space for db. please delete more than 4.0mb", then freezes when you try to get past the "artist" (or other) option. also, i'm completely unable to manage my mp3 on wmp anymore. states: "it is not possible to change sync settings at this time. try again later." i've lost the manual and don't even know how to reset my mp3, never mind tackle this. can u help me?

I have the same problem kind of. When I bought the device it had songs already programmed into it. When I brought it up on my windows media player, the songs wouldn't come up. I've tried trouble shooting but for some reason nothing is able to bring the songs up on the computer so that I can delete them. Did you ever find out how to fix it or is it a glitch and unfixable?
Email me @ [email protected] if anyone has an answer.

I have had the same mp3 player, and it usually showed up as an item in My Computer. It stopped showing up this way and I had no way of accessing/changing files. I solved it by using the player's menu to "Restore Default Settings." It doesn't delete the songs in memory, but it did solve this problem!

I turn it on and it says mtp db mismatch then no space for dbplz delete more than 4.0mb

In order to create the media library database for your device to work properly, there needs to be at least 50MB of free space. Just delete a few songs and try again.

You could also use easyRip's Device Info module to switch to MSC mode if you have addition MTP conflicts

(Either way, you do need 50MB of free space on your device for it to power on and create the db properly)

MP3 player says Need to delete tracks

All you need to do is delete a few of your songs off, 2 or 3 should be enough.

Deleing songs

For Windows XPTM users, you are connecting the device in MTP mode to the computer by default. You will need to set the device to MSC mode, so go to the device menu\Settings\Advanced\Protocol = > Press Play/Pause key to select MSC mode which will appear as such on the screen. Reconnect the device to the computer, and you can now see those files and delete them.
DO NOT forget to set the device back to MTP mode when finished, so go to device menu\Setting\Advanced = > Select MTP mode.

Delete more than 4.omb

I think the problem is that you deleted one of the syst. file on the RCA Lyra.. These are the files you need to have in order to make the mp3 player work.

Setting.dat
Music.sec
Time.dat
music.lib

and the 4 folders (Voice) (line-in) (FM) (audible)

CAN YOU HELP RITE AWAY

That message means your device is too full.

Connect it to your PC and delete some files thru My Computer>Device Name (RCA S100).

This will free up some space for the DB which is the Album and Artist information you see when navigating.

Best of Luck.
