The difference is wireless means exactly that no wires but I found that woth wireless systems unless u pay a fortune on an un hackable (well supposed to be ) and a hard wired system is hardwired to ur home or just plug into ur standard wall socket I found that these systems are alot more reliable an less likely to be hacked by wirelss devices such as blutooth etc

Bosch manufactures and sells alarm products only tolicensed Alarm Installation companies and their installers. These types of smoke detectors are PHOTOELECTRIC, the way it works, there is a IR transmitter and a IR receiver placed in a dark chamber aligned at a 45degree angle, when smoke enters the chamber IR light bounces of the smoke and than generating an alarm, so in conclusion if there is a lot of DUST in the chamber it reflects the IR light just like smoke, than can generate an alarm, try blowing air in the smoke detector (gentely) if it does not work replace the smoke detector...
There should be a VCR DIN attachment at the back, and monitors hould have been installed or delivered with a cable for this din connection to get several video in and out to BNC bajonet, and audio out for plugging to the bosch recorder.

Only way is to factory default the unit and then only if the installer code was not locked. Either way the system will need reprogramming.You will need the instalation manual for this or you can try ringing Bosch Technical as they can remotely access systems if set up to do so.
