The TV worked fine when we went to bed. In the morning it turned on with a black screen and had sound. We have checked all the cable connections (We have cable fine on our other TV). We have tried to pushing different buttons on our remote as suggested by the usuers manual (this did create our sound to go off since we could not see what results we were getting from pushing these buttons). We have been told that plasma TVs have a life of only so many viewing hours, and ours may have just died. Our TV is over two years old.

-   Exactly like everyone else has described. The thing is this TV has worked perfectly for over 3 years - at least in this regard. It's February here in Sydney Australia and the weather is hot and humid. I suspect the humidity may be causing the behaviour and by the sounds of things, a repair man may not be able to fix this.-   sdowse

-   I have the same tv my screen works for about 5 mins then goes black, the sound is fine, if I switch the tv off for a few secs it will work again for 5 mins then again it will go black. very annoying -   bighairy
Sound no picture or shut down Power led starts green then a short amber then turns RED . If your power supply can be confirmed to be go you have a bad Inverter board. Per the manufacture this part comes only with the panel . Not cost effective . But if you go to lcdparts.net you will locate an inverter for $ 169.99 . I had the same problem and the inverter repaired the set . Note there aresimilar error codes but from what I can see from all of your complaint I do be leave that your Inverter is bad . Good luk

Has not died = needs repair by qualified tech......
Did you try hard reset by unplugging ac cord for a while?
Next, voltages need to be checked inside TV.........
Let me know where this repair is going........T.

Have you fixed it or gotten rid of it yet? Because if not, I have a solution for you. I had the exact same problem and TV as you, and I fixed mine by leaning it forward. I think there may be a leveling safety feature for the screen, and it gets out of wack. So maybe try leaning it back and forward until you find the sweet spot.

I use this tv for a PC monitor, HD satellite viewing, and XBOX 360. I was having intermittent problems with the HDMI audio bleeding in to the other inputs. Sometimes if for instance I turned on the PC, I could hear the audio from the HDMI output on the satellite receiver through the TV speakers. Other times, I might just hear a crackle in the audio when in PC mode. If I switched back and forth between HDMI and PC inputs a couple of times, both issues would go away. I tell this just as background to what happened next. Since I have my PC hooked to the VGA input on the TV, I have been forced to manually switch the HDMI input from the Satellite receiver to my XBOX 360. (Sorry, I was too cheap to buy the $100 switch). Anyway, I usuall make this switch hot (TV on, Satellite receiver on, but XBOX off. This system although a pain, was working until yesterday. I was watching HD satellite, when I decided to play XBOX. I switched the HDMI cable, but when I turned the XBOX on, it wouldn't start up. I immediately assumed my XBOX had crapped out , but when I switche the HDMI cable back to the satellite, the TV would not recognize the signal. I have since tried the XBOX and satellite on another tv with HDMI, and both still work fine. I am thinking that some sort of switch in the tv has gone out, but I don't know. Should I just junk this TV for a new 1080P? My problem with doing that is that I use PIP with the PC on one side, and HDMI on the other. This tv does that, but I can't find another tv that does.
I've had the same problem for the last 3 years with this TV. It began the day I bought it. I thought I had hooked up the cables incorrectly at first, but that is not the case.
It seems to be a cold weather or low pressure weather issue. the worst months are October to April. All during the summer months in New York City is operates perfectly.
The problem for repair is that it is so unpredictable that if you called out a repair person, there is no guarantee you can recreate the issue which is so infuriating! Any clues to what might cause this?
CB NYC area.
