The answer to your ques is. go buy a universal remote control. since your tv is made by thomson electric. (ge@rca)you can prob get a rca universal remote at wallmart or walgreens. you won't need to reprogram. it everytime you change baterys. after you get set to turn on and off just hit tv/vcr button on remote or select channel 91 or 92 (on some models that is your video for rca/ge) good luck doctordave

How do you get your dish remote back In sat mode after you power scan

To get your dish remote back into sat mode after a power scan, you will need to re-pair the remote with the receiver. Here are the steps to follow:
  1. Turn on the receiver and make sure it is in sat mode.
  2. Press and hold the SAT button on the remote for at least three seconds, until the mode lights on the remote turn on.
  3. Press the pound (#) button on the remote, then press the SAT button again.
  4. Use the remote to select the receiver you want to pair with, then press the pound (#) button again.
  5. The remote should now be paired with the receiver and in sat mode. You should be able to use it to control your dish equipment as usual.
If you have any trouble re-pairing the remote with the receiver, you can try pressing the reset button on the receiver and repeating the steps above. If you are still unable to pair the remote, you may need to contact dish customer support for assistance.

Where can I find a list of a GE, Universal, remote control code that I could program, to my Sony HDTV?(For I lost my instruction manual.)

Note: most remotes allow you to find the code by manually turning the TV (or other device) on first, then press the appropriate button (cable, DVD, surround, etc) then setting the the remote in the "program" mode, then keep pushing the "off/power" button until the TV (or other device) turns off, at that point the code is set.

The tv is jammed. Remote is fine but have pressed the wrong button

It sounds as though you might have just accidentally pressed a button and changed the remote into an incorrect mode for example, tv, or aux modes. This would in fact prevent the remote from successfully working with the DISH Network receiver. If this is in fact the problem, then the remote simply needs to be put into "SAT" mode, once its back in SAT mode you will then be able to change channels, select menu, power receiver on and off, etc. The "SAT" button is labeled & in the upper left hand corner of the remote to put the remote back in satellite mode, please just press that SAT once and then release, the SAT button should briefly light up red & then the light will go out, you should then be able to use the remote again, to ensure remote was successfully changed back to SAT mode, you can press select or any other button you chose & as long as the SAT button lights up when you press another remote control button- then your all set to go & everything should be working once again! I hope this helps -please let me know if there is anything else I can help you with!

I lost the manual I need instructions to program it

Hi,
Manual Programming:

1. Turn on the device with which you want to use the remote control.

2. Locate a 3-digit code for your device.

3. Press and hold the corresponding button on the remote control
(TV, VCR, SAT, DVD, CAB or AUD) for approximately three seconds unitl the POWER INDICATOR illuminates.

4. Enter the 3-digit code for your device within 30 seconds. The POWER INDICATOR shuts off.

5. Press power button to verify correct code entry. If the device shuts off, the code was entered correctly. If the device does not shut off, repeat steps 3-4, using a different code.

Automatic Programming

With automatic programming, the remote control tests all the codes available on the Code List and assigns the correct code for the selected device.

1. Turn off the device with which you want to use the remote control.

2. Press and hold the corresponding button on the remote control(TV, VCR, SAT, DVD, CAB or AUD) until the POWER INDICATOR illuminates. The remote control is in programming mode.

3.Press and release power button. The POWER INDICATOR flashes once and stays on
indicating the unit is in Power Scan mode.

3. Press CHANNEL UP or CHANNEL DOWN repeatedly until the device turns on.

4. When the device turns on, press OK to store the code.

5. Press any other button. If the device responds, the remote control has been programmed. If the device does not respond, repeat steps 2-5.

My tv remote will not allow me to access the satellite

walk_alan,

Are you still having problems with your DISH Network remote? Which light on the remote lights up when you press the select button? If any button besides the SAT button, the remote is not in SAT MODE. Pressing and releasing the SAT button will put the remote in SAT MODE.

If the remote is in SAT MODE and doesn't operate the receive, then the remote may need to be readdressed to the receiver or the remote may need to be replaced. Do you have fresh batteries in the remote? If so, I have provided steps on readdressing the remote to the receiver.

Remote: All Other Remotes
  1. Go to System Info screen(depending on the receiver, you can press the "System Info" button, or pull the smart card out from the receiver till the "System Info" screen appears on the TV)
  2. Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
  3. Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.
  4. Press the pound (#) button
  5. Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record. Note: If successful the number selected in step 3 will appear in the System Info screen under Remote Address.
I hope this helps.
