I have a Optoma HD 67 projector and suddenly it has a lot of white spots on the screen, even if you remove the input cable the white spots stay there

as greg instruction, it is very detail,

usually, white dots problem is reason of the DMD. perhaps the manufcaturer can't directly and singly sell a parts for end user, they always let you send broken machine to their repair store, then ask for high repair cost.

actually, optoma HD67 projector with 1280*720 pixels, so i think you should buy a 1272-6038B DMD chips, if you need further help, please freely contact me again,

White spots on TV Screen

DLP/mirror chip is going bad. A common problem on Sammy TVs after 2-3 years. Chip is user replaceable (try samsungparts.com or ebay) for about $150-200. Sammy was (last year) repairing the DLP White Spot problem for free. You MUST talk to ECR (executive customer service) to even think about getting that consideration--forget the standard CS people. Don't know if they are still covering this out of warranty in 2010.

It sounds like it, but I would ask a local repair shop before I spend major money.

Samsung dlp tv hl-s4266w has white spots on it? How much to fix?

Are they spots or dots? If they are spots then the optics are contaminates. If they are dots either white or black then you have a bad DMD chip. The cost of repair depends on who you hire to repair the set or if you do it yourself it depands who you purcahse the part from.
