I just installed a call blocking app called BlackBall onto my Samsung Blackjack. After powering down and restarting the device, now the only button that works is the side wheel. None of the keypad buttons or navigator will work. Not even the power button. I took the battery out to repower several times and still the same - I can't even do a hard reset because the power and navigation buttons won't respond.
No, if you did not install any s/w , it should be fine. I have tried installing the battery again and worked fine.
It could be that your phone could have goten bricked which means that it locks your phone aka virus its very comen with all this 3 party software or the software made your phone have a system error makeing you have no way of fixing it phones are hard to fix not like a computer so your phone maybe done.

I was out one day with some friends who used my phone, then i got my phone back, and now like 7 hours later im realizing that my phone will not react at all except for the power button. I added one third party software like 2 months ago.. I have the Blackjack 2, does anyone know anything. I gotta ask my freinds if something happened to it and theyre not telling me
i installed kaspersky for mobile and when turned off the device and turned back on the keypad didn't work. can i uninstall the s/w from my PC using the pc connection?
I have a Samsung Galaxy sch-i500 and the bottom row of soft keys havent worked in quite some time, but I had a Smart Tas Bar app that helped out with that. However, I went to hard reset the phone and apparently unlike most phones being reset you have to use the soft keys to make your selection, which I obviously cannot do. So as of right now that phone is bricked. If I try to restart the phone it restarts at the same manual reset page, even having taken the battery out for a while. Can anyone think of or know a way to get around this? Even just to get the phone back on so I can factory reset thru the standard settings
