Won't allow cookies

I have both internet explorer and safari, both set to allow all cookies, and I am trying to access a website to purchase tickets, and it keeps telling me that I need to have cookies enabled. I have made sure my clock is set correctly. I also disabled my virus protection and my windows firewall thinking this may be the problem. I have restarted my computer since, and it is still not working.  I have used this site before with no problems, but it recently stopped working.

I have both IE and Safari set up to allow all cookies, and it says that I have cookies enabled with both.  I have checked and rechecked, and they both say "allow all cookies" and then I go to purchase the tickets, and it says cookies are being blocked.  I don't know what to do next, as I have never had this problem before.  I have purchased tickets from them in the past and never had this problem.

I have set both Safari and IE to allow all cookies and then when I go to purchase the tickets it says that cookies are being blocked.  I have never had this problem before when I purchased tickets from the same site.  I don't know what else to try.

  • kkati25 Mar 22, 2009

I have my internet security set to low, all cookies allowed on both Safari and IE and still won't let me access. It says cookies are enabled. I have no idea where to go next. As I said, I have purchased from there before and never had a problem, only recently is it saying that I have cookies blocked.

First-Get your antivirus turned back on. NEVER disable it.
Go to tools, options and set your cookie handling to what you want. Some sites want all sorts of extra things opened up. Don't do it. They install spyware on your computer. Make a phone call instead. A $1 phone call is worth a lot more than the time it will take to clean up your computer.

Why cant i find enable cookies on my ipad

The iPad's Safari browser allows you to enable or disable cookies. Most people will want to keep cookies enables. Websites use cookies to keep track of who you and various settings. Some websites will not work properly without cookies. However, if you are worried about websites keeping a piece of information on your iPad, you can easily disable cookies. Apple keeps all of custom options for most of the default apps (Safari, Notes, Photos, Music, etc.) in the iPad settings, which is where you need to go to enable or disable cookies.
First, go to the iPad settings by tapping the settings icon. (Get help getting into the iPad's settings.)
Next, scroll down the left-side window until you locate Safari. When you tap Safari, the safari's settings will show up in the main window.
To enable/disable cookies, simply locate the Privacy block and change the Block Cookies option. Your choices are "Never", "Always" and "From third parties and advertisers". The "From third parties" choice is the best for enabling cookies while keeping a moderate level of security by ensuring you have actually visited the website associated with the cookie. If you want the most secure experience, choosing "Never" will turn off cookies completely. Remember: Many websites are designed to work with cookies and may not work correctly with cookies turned off.

Add cookies to browser

Cookies are added automatically by websites. However, you do need to make sure that the web browser is set to allow cookies.

To enable cookies in Safari, do the following:

1. Launch Safari

2. Open Safari Preferences

3. Click on the Security tab

4. In the "Accept Cookies" section, make sure the "Always" bubble is selected.

Safari is now configured to accept cookies from websites such as Facebook.

When I try to sign up to rootmusic through facebook i log into facebook and then the box disappears and the page stays the same where in the video tour it says it's supposed to bring you to a new page....

Sorry to hear you're having some issues logging in to RootMusic.com. We have some ideas that may help out.

You'll want to enable 3rd party cookies in your browser. You can find the option if you go Settings in your browser and then click on the privacy tab.

For Google Chrome: http://www.google.com/support/chrome/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=95647

For Mozilla Firefox:
http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Disabling+third+party+cookies

For Safari, if you want to enable cookies and you're using the Safari web browser, go to Safari preferences and then to the Security pane to disable cookies. On your Apple mobile device, go to Settings, then Safari, and then to the Cookies section.

For Internet Explorer, which we do not recommend for using to view our site:
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Block-or-allow-cookies

You may also want to try a different browser like Firefox or Chrome. This bug affects browsers differently on each system so if one of these browsers don't work the other could be the solution. You can find them here:
www.getfirefox.com
www.google.com/chrome

There might be an issue with the time settings on your computer. If your computer clock is not set to the current time and date, you won't be able to log in. This is because when you log in to any service on the internet, they send you a cookie with a time stamp on it that controls your info to see that you are the right person. This cookie works like a bus ticket and only works for a certain period of time. If your computer clock is set to a different time that in should be it messes with the time stamp on that ticket. So it would be like trying to get on the bus with a month old ticket.

If this does not work you can try clearing the cache on your browser and then restarting it.

Also, if you're trying to sign in from a secure system, such as from your work or at a library, there might be a firewall you're hitting. Try signing in from your home computer.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Let me know how it goes! I'm here to help.

Peace,

It wont let me sign up. It just loads and caput! doesnt do a thing. Just kind of loads nothing. Does nothing makes me mad.please help me thankyou

First, try to access the web site in a different computer that is connected to a different network. There are times that the site itself has the problem and not the computer.

If you can access the site in a different computer, then the problem has something to do with the internet browser that you are using. Try to use different internet browsers (i.e. Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera). OR, you may optimize your browser. Here's how:

* For Internet Explorer:

1. Run Internet Explorer and click on 'Tools' menu.
2. Go to Internet Options and locate the Browsing History section.
3. Click the 'Delete' button and delete the Temporary Internet Files, Cookies and History.
4. Close the Internet Explorer and re-open it.
5. Access your e-mail.

* For Mozilla Firefox:

1. Run Firefox and hit 'Tools' menu.
2. Go to 'Clear Recent History' and click the drop-down arrow for 'Time range to clear'.
3. Select 'Everything' and then click the line beside details.
4. Check browsing & download history, form & search history, cookies, cache.
5. Click "Clear Now" button.
6. Close and re-open Firefox.
7. Access your e-mail.

* For Safari:

1. Open the Safari.
2. Click the Safari menu (right beside the Apple icon) and select "Empty Cache".
3. When asked "Are you sure you want to empty the cache?", click "Empty".
4. Click the Safari menu (right beside the Apple icon) then go to "Preferences".
5. From the security dialog box, click "Bookmarks".
6. Click on "Show Cookies" button and then hit "Remove All" button.
7. Select "Done".
8. Access your email.

Thank you and good luck!
