I dont have sound in my gateway 450rog i install the driver already

I had the same problem.
The "Network Controller" in my case had to do with the wireless network driver on my 450ROG.
None of the drivers that are available for 450ROG on the Gateway Support site worked correctly.
Here's what I did to solve the problem:
1. Flip the computer over. 2. On the back, you may see a little module that says "Fitted with Intel WM3B2100 802.11b". That's the built-in wireless network card (had no idea this computer had one, I inherited it). 3. Go to the Intel support site:http://downloadcenter.intel.com/ 4. Do a search for the "WM3B2100" driver. 5. Download and install the driver.
Fixed it for me!

You need the sound driver I assume for this laptop. If it doesnt match hardware perfectly then nothing will work.

Go to vendors site with your S/N and Model number to locate the exact sound driver.

Have you checked in control panel / sound speech / sounds & audio devices / click on "sounds" blind and see if any of the sounds can be activated by clicking the big black arrow. If greyed out then the driver is not installed.

Go into Start / control panel / sounds / and see if any drivers are showing, if not then re-install, Go to vendors site to download driver for your laptop.

Just remembered little tip, can you see the speaker at lower right of screen, if not driver may not be there especially if it was before.

I took a look out on Gateway's download site and found the usual drivers for your box.

Hopefully you can use a friends pc to connect to this web site, download the driver onto a usb stick, and then take that to your laptop and install the driver.
