If you try to power it on and it goes back off and the red light blinks...its the motherboard....sorry

open your Ps3 and resolder the GPU and CPU with an Hot air gun...but you have to be carrefully!
try this and bring your Ps3 to Life again!

SOURCE: My xbox 360 wont load any games.
It has happened to me twice and unfortunately the only way to solve it is sending the device to msoft. You can do this either through the phone or using the xbox.com site.
The second time it happened to me the machine was out the warranty, they offer me to pay 87 € to fix it and extended the warranty for an extra year after it.
At the end when I send it the second time they just sent me a refurbished one to avoid the problem to happen in the future.

1)Turn off your playstation 3. If you think your ps3 has been
caught by the heat, then wait at least 20 minutes and put it back on
again
2) Check if there's any loose cable.

Try to put out your playstation's hard-drive, and put it back in. You
might want to repeat this 2-3 times for better results.
