Maytag Neptune gas dryer sense dry time at 99, little or no heat

Clothes do not dry. When its set to sensor dry it comes up with a dry time of 99 minutes, usually it ranges fro about 65 to 82, occasionally it will set at around 70 & work fine so it will work intermittently. We seldom use time dry, but when I did, it also was little or no heat. The touch panel is usually set to regular dry or higher.

Same problem as described. I use sensor dry and the time required to dry has increased dramatically of late. I switched to time dry and noticed poor heating also. However, at least once during this observed behavior, I checked and the sensor dry time and heat were both normal, so I'd describe it as occasionally working properly. I can hear the flame kicking on an off, but can't say if it's burning properly. I've had to call in a tech to take a look.

If this is a gas dryer, I'd suggest an inspection by the gas company or qualified technician. If the jets aren't firing correctly, you are wasting gas and possibly creating a hazard.

Maytag Neptune sensor and time drying settings

Fixed the problem, not the machine, needed a new dryer vent. Just unhooked the vent and
the dryer worked perfectly. V

99 minutes

It sounds like you may need a new timer. Has water or anything gotten into the timer. This could be causing a short or faulty reading in it.
