Question about LG 42LC2D 42 in. LCD HDTV

1 Answer

42LC2DR Hi, I have LG 42LC2DR model TV. For the past few days I am unable to change channels after the TV has been running for more than half-hour. When I switch the TV on, I can change channels and the pictures/sounds from different channels do come up. However, after about half-hour if I change the channel, I keep getting the message "No Signal" and when I check the signal strength it is shown as Bad. This only happens after about 20 minutes or so. If I turn the TV off for about 10minutes or so and switch it back on then I can change channels. Can anyone help me? Thanks. Siva

You need to press the button on the top right of the control ( the TV button) once and that will allow you to control the tv once again. Problem occurs when you accidently push VCR or DVD button which means remote control will try a different frequency to operate a VCR or DVD that isn't there. Hope this helps.

Cant retune through dvd player

Sounds like a few things going on here... Your indoor antenna for one is probably not making it easy for you as an outdoor antenna will work a whole lot better. This is why it open picks up half the channels and they are pixelating. Also you may have faulty rf leads. Replace these.

That usually is an adjustment made on whatever source you have hooked to the tv. Some tv models will minuliplate the picture but not all.

I have a brand new straight from box LG TV model 32LD320. I have unpluged the HDMI from old TV ( where was working 100% OK) plugged into new TV. Mains switch on - and cannot get any chanels to report on...

HDMI sends video from a source likea bluray player or 'cable box' to tv it will not send signal so you can program channels from it

turn tv to the HDMI input you plugged device into and watch cideo from that source

you will need to connect some type of antenna to be able to program channels on tv

very few tvs need channels programmed these days since most people hook up a cable or sattelite receiver and change channels that way

hope this helps if not give me more speecific details and i can help you more

good luck

LG LCD TV Standby Light Flashing Red Continuously

I have had this same problem twice in the past 3 months. So far both times I've been able to get it back after a week or two. I'm not sure what works, but unplugging and detaching the antenna and cable and waiting a few days seems to be the key. In both instances, I unplugged it for a few days then plugged it in for a few days and repeated the processes until I eventually got the steady red led. Both times prior to the red led the led would flash red then green and make a clickiing noise for several hours before I was able to get it working again.
