Re: connectivity to the computer

Looks like media player is set to automaticly sync. Try turning it off and just double clicking "my computer". It should show up there and be ready to drag and drop. Just right click on the files first, as this player will only take mp3 or wav!

Re: connectivity to the computer

I tried with a different cable that did not come with the device, and it showed up with it. If you have another cable that is like that one, try it out.

How can i delete all files on my mp3 player using the computer

Your MP3 player can be connected to a computer through USB. You need to have the proper USB cable. Once connected, if your computer recognizes the device, tt should show as a Removable Drive and you can open folders just like any computer Herd Drvie.
If it is not recognized, take note that some players might need a driver for your specific operating system. In that case, please reformulate your queston, specifyiny your player ans computer system.

Sony Walkman not connecting to computer

I had a similar problem (my computer uses Windows XP) - Sony Walkman beeps a couple times when I insert the USB Cable that connects it, like it is connecting, but it does not charge or is not found by Windows Media Player. In my case, the way I fixed it was to:
1, Go into Control Panel
2. Double Click 'System' ICON
3. Select Hardware Tab
4. Select Device Manager
5. Select 'View' at the Top
6. 'Devices by Type' AND 'Show Hidden Devices' should be selected
7. 'Scroll down to 'Portable Devices' and open it up.
8. My Sony Walkman was there with and Exclamtion point ( ! ) in a yellow circle,
9. Right Click on this yellow exclamation point.
10, Select 'UNINSTALL'
11. Once the computer says 'Device has been Uninstalled, Disconnect your Walkman's USB cable then reconnect.
12. At this point, my Walkman was recognized by my computer, started charging, and was recognized by Windows Media Player

Hope this helps

The device does not show under My Computer when plugged in

You will have to go to the Manufacturers Website and Download Updated Drivers for your PC. That should take care of the Problem.

From the Sansa FAQ page at

STEP1 - Reset the player
  1. Hold down the Power button for 20 seconds, then release.
  2. Run the hotfix.
STEP2 - Connect the player to the computer
  1. Connect the device to the computer
  2. Once the device responds, disconnect, and turn it on.

Sansa Connect

What I would recommend you to do is to make sure that your device is under MTP mode instead of do that go under menu, setting, usb and then there should the two mode listed there...then you want to plug your device in the back of your computer..not in the front..tghat is very important....once you do up your windows media on your start thee sync panel..if your device is recognize properly it will be showing there on the right side..and if its not listed properly, it will say connect a device..if thats the on your start menu right click on computer and then click on propetties, click under hardware and then device manager..your device should be showing there...check under disk drives to see if your device is showing there and if it doesnt you want to right click and hit uninstall...we dont want your device to be under disk drive ..we want it to be under windows portable device...once you uninstall it...go to and find the driver for your device..and then connecct the device on the back of your should work properly..if you are still having any problems..let me know..i would be more than happy to assist you..
Please rate accordingly
Thank you

Does not recognize

The dinging sound is the USB port telling Windows that a device is connected, and does not necessarily mean that Windows recognizes a device.

Are you using Windows Media Player 10 or higher?

Connection to gogear

Sounds like the firmware is corrupt.

Try this:

Make sure you have installed Philips Device Manager from the product CD.

With the player powered off:

Press and hold VOL+ whilst connecting to the PC.

PC will show drive as Recovery Device (or similar) and device manager will start and show "Your device has an error...."

Click repair and follow the on-screen prompts.

When prompted, disconnect the player and power on.

Player will show "Loading" and then shut down.

Power on again.

Player will show "Updating" and then shut down again.

Player can now be powered up as normal.

I have some china made mp3

Make sure that you have installed the software the the mp3 player came with and that you have powered on the mp3 player once it is connected. If you want the Sansa e250 to show up in "My Computer" under removable devices, go to the main menu of the player software and go to Settings/USB Modes/ and change the mode to MSC (Mass Storage Class). Hope that helps.
