I was using my laptop aspire one and its screen become black , its not getting recover by removal of battery or switching it off from the switch, guide me what to do.
Try Pressing the Fn key along with the F6 key in the top row. If that works, then the system probably went into auto lcd shutoff mode. It does this to conserve power. Let me know if this works first. Have a great day, martyshaw152

the white dash is a command cue and it is waiting for you to enter a command for the laptop to proceed
when you switch the laptop on , hold down the delete key until the bios screen appears
go to boot tab and check where the boot priority is
it should be first priority , hard drive
if not make it the first priority save yes and esc.and shut down , then reboot
Turn off notebook. Remove the battery. Press Power button. Notebook should start working. Wait for 15 secs. If the screen still blank press Power button and hold it for approx. 4 seconds until notebook is powered off. Then press power button again. Bingo, problem should be solved.
For that you need to refix RAM memory. It is in back side of laptop. check in back side you find 1 plate upon battery open it then refix RAM memory. if still same issue then you have to reset bios settings for that open back cover of laptop then find motherbord pull CMOS cell from motherbord for 10 minutes so all settings goes to factory defaults. Then check. Let me know if you need more assistance. Thanks.
Hi, There's no point getting a crisis program if you cannot see the screen in the first place. The problem could be anything from a faulty graphics, faulty motherboard or loose cable or inverter board. To test this connect an external monitor to the laptop and use the keyboard toggle to switch screens (hold down Fn and press the F key that has a monitor icon on it) If the external monitor has a display on it then the problem is the inverter, inverter cable or the screen itself which if faulty. If there is no display on the external monitor you maybe looking at a new laptop. If you have no external monitor to test then look very close at the laptop screen, if you can just make out an image then its the inverter. Post back if you require any more assistance.
Hi there. After using killcmos you should have updated the bios straight away, this is because you have wiped all the bios settings. As soon as you restarted the laptop you effectively killed the computer, getting it recovered can now prove near impossible. The only option you have left now is to locate the bios battery, remove it for an hour to see if the bios resets, other than that Acer may be able to help.
this works for a second and then goes black again. Any other ideas?
is it working with a external monitor?
Do you hear any noise? is the hard drive light on?
