Web -cam shuts down computer

you may have encountered that blue screen of death error because of an IRQ conflict. this cane be caused by a conflicting resource for computer components. much like 1 car battery being used by 2 cars at the same time.

o have this resolved, it is best that you have the camera replaced with another model or you can try to remove other USB devices plugged into your computer until you find out what is causing the error message or the conflict to your new Life Cam.\

hi there, this may help..not sure but try this, click on your desk top icon. web your web cam should be on so u can see yourself.. there is an x at the top of your window say to close and just below it is a square(blue) click on that it will give you different resolution and maybe yours is set to high or to low..or try uninstalling it and then install it again....also there is an arrow right next to the x, where you can minimize your screen if you click on that little arronw that is pooint down it will give you step by step, click on video setting and audio setting...this may help to.

Unplug all the other USB connected and just try plugging the camera into the USB and see if it works and doesn't shut down the computer. If it works, then one of the other units are conflicting with the camera. Then try plugging one USB unit at a time back in the computer and see which one is causing the problem. Good way to eliminate a problem and worth the afford. Bud

Hello the problem came from the hires of the webcam into the laptop .with the times the hires become old and fragile and if you move in the bad positionthe webcam or the base of the laptop you will crash with the so beautiful (BSD bleu screen of death)

Shut down your computer and than re-start again if your cam isnt working .

Go to start- control panel- look for add and remove programs and delete your web cam and than

Re-stall all the cd's that came with your cam.

Dont for get to re-boot after (re-stalling) your cam
