Check them bigger transitors heatsinked in solder to mother board should find a 12v a 5v with your test meter. sounds like you lost 12v to the cpu. 12 and 5v , -5v -12 start at the power supply....i would take the plugs loose and see if voltage comes back up if not change your power suppy, 400 watt ps would be nice. there is sometimes one separate plug with 2 wires that runs down by the Processor this powers only the CPU ,check that if you see it.all universal ps now have this extra plug.

I'm sorry to tell you but your cpu has probably fried. Your pc hanging a lot probably meant something was overheating and the fact that you say your cpu is not hot when you have the cooling fan off of it means it is probably the cpu. When you first turn your system on without a cpu cooling fan, the cpu should be slightly warm, although I do not recommended running a cpu at all without a cooling fan or even touching it when it has power.

I missed your question, anyways. as it seems there might be the reason of over heating. I would suggest just remove the heatsink apply proper heatsink paste on CPU and replace your heatsink and fan. heat must radiate properly.

I just bought Logitech Clearchat Premium PC, how do I get it to work?

Assemble it: connect the data cable from the monitor to the CPU, Connect the mouse and keyboard to the CPU, connect the power cables for the CPU and for the monitor, press the CPU power button, and the monitor power button. If the computer doesn't work, then it came without an operating system.Get the operating system disk and insert it into the DVD or CD ROM/RW drive. Turn the computer off, and turn it on again. Check the monitor carefully and when it prompts for pressing any key to boot from the cd, do so very fast. The process of operating system installation will start. Follow the procedures and instructions it gives you till the end. If you are not sure of any step, ask or consult any person who can assist.

My drive is disabled and I don't know how to enable it

Do you find the green light glow if you press the eject button ? If No, First step is to Turn off the PC and disconnect the power cable from wall outlet and you will have to open the CPU Tower Cover and check the cables and firmly connect them again. this must be because of loose connection. Do Not attempt to do this if you are minor and for others, Do it at your own risk if you can.

Computer not getting switched on

appears that ur RAM is struck....
some power is left in the ram...so do this
take out all power supply and all power cables from the CPU BOX, press the power on button on the PC and keep pressing for few mins....
do on and off for a few times....WITOUT POWER...
re-connect the cables and start...
if the above process does not solve.....
do the above process after removing the RAMs(RAMS are 1 inch by 4 inch circuit boards with 4 or 8 ICS in them) from the slots inside the PC(guess u know how to do that)
then reinstall the RAMS...the RAMs go in only one direction....put back the clicp that hold them....
put back the cables and start it...

Pc died

Hello, I have had similar problems with that same motherboard in the past and have found that resetting the cmos (see users manual) or just taking the battery of the motherboard for a few minutes can solve this. CAUTION please remove the power lead on your tower before touching any components inside, and earth yourself first by touching metal.. as static discharge kills pc components..
Hope this helps.....
