F08 means the heater relay on the main pcb is faulty and the only way to clear it is to replace the main PCB (situated at the lower lh side - looking from the rear). Unless the new pcb is pre-programmed a new EEPROM will be required with the pcb. To be honest it would be better for you to conact HOTPOINT direct (tel : 08709066066) as if the appliance is under 5 years old they will repair it for £100 as the parts are free as long as you have hotpoint to fix it. The programming of the eeprom/pcb is done by the engineer from his laptop. For a small extra fee you can cover your appliance for a further 12 months as well as having it repaired.
