GO TO CONTROL PANEL.SELECT KEYBOARD.RIGHT CLICK IT AND SELECT PROPERTIES.FROM THERE YOU CAN SET YOUR OWN PARAMETERS.

Laptops dont store the BIOS password like desktops meaning that even if you find the Battery the password wont be deleted since its stored on a eeprom.
best way to go is to go to compaq they will help you if you have proof of purchase

Remove all external peripherals and then restart the PC in BIOS and do a BIOS Default... Should work....

Navigate through the menus and sub-menus.

If you cannot read anything on a sub-menu, press ESC to return to the "main" menu.

One of the menus will do it ("lingua" ??? "habla" ???)

Don't forget that from www.google.ca you can select "language tools", and type some words, and choose to translate those words from Spanish to English, on another computer placed beside your HP computer.

Need to do Powerdrain. Then do a BIOS update. Them reinstall the sound drive and restart the Laptop

Sounds like your going to have to reset or update your bios in the setup screen.

By changing the CPU speed in the BIOS? Downoad the manual for directions to go into setup screen and see what you have to change.

Sound like there is virus in the software that you download from web.
Try go BIOS and check if the HDD still there?

Not all compaq 6720s come with bluetooth module, but you can go to Control Panel --> System --> Hardware --> Device Manager, check whether your laptop is bluetooth ready, refer picture below,


If you can see the Bluetooth Devices in Device Manager, means your laptop is bluetooth ready. Then on your bluetooth by click the wireless button and you willl see blue light is on.

Check this icon at the right bottom corner of your desktop,

If BWT is disabled (red logo), enable it by right-clicking the Bluetooth icon and selecting Start the Bluetooth Device. The logo will change from red to white. Then you can use the Bluetooth Setup wizard to configure the service and security features as follows:
1. Right-click the Bluetooth icon, and then select Explore My Bluetooth Places.
2. Right-click the My Bluetooth Places icon in the Folders pane of Windows
Explorer and select Bluetooth Setup Wizard to begin the configuration process.
