Re: filter

Water filters for most refrigeration cabinets are located externally to the cabinet as they are quite large. If you have one you would know. If you dont have one fit one as they make a large difference. Once fitted make sure you run the water through. Hope this helps.

How and where do you change water filter

From the KitchenAid Manual:

The water filter is located in the upper right-hand corner of the
refrigerator compartment.

Replacing the Water Filter
To purchase a replacement water filter, model 67003523 Part
Number 4396395, contact your dealer or call 1-800-442-9991
U.S.A. or 1-800-807-6777 Canada.
IMPORTANT: Air trapped in the water system may cause water
and filter to eject. Always dispense water for at least 2 minutes
before removing the filter or blue bypass cap.

1. Turn filter counterclockwise to remove.
2. Remove sealing label from replacement filter and insert the
filter end into the filter head.
3. Turn the filter clockwise until it stops. Snap the filter cover
4. Flush the water system. Depending on your model, see
"Water Dispenser" or "Water and Ice Dispensers."
NOTE: The dispenser feature may be used without a water filter
installed. Your water will not be filtered. If this option is chosen,
replace the filter with the blue bypass cap.

Ice maker mal-formed ice

no "slug" is available however you could just use a reverse osmosis diaphram pressure tank to boost the water pressure. you can also use a water supply tube to bypass the in-refrigerator completely.

Changed filter water leaking out of ice maker even when shut off

if u have changed the filter and it wasnt letting water though before you changed it, then some foreign material has come out of the filter and has wedged its self under the plunger of the water solenoid holding it open

Ice tastes bad from ice maker

Sometimes filters have issues like this even being new , it is located at the bottom kickplate [round] , pick up a new filter -part number 4396841 - install the filter , dump remaining ice in bin out , purge the water through the new filter through water in door for a few minutes and you should be good.

Kitchenaid model ksrs25ilss02 water filter

Are you saying water is dripping out the ice dispenser or the water dispenser, a water filter would have nothing to do with this, it only filters water, it does not pump water nor does it shut it off. If water
is dripping from the ice dispenser, it is because the rubber gasket
is bad on the flap that seals after ice is dispensed. If water is dripping
from the water dispenser, it is the shut off for the water, you can put a glass under it and push for water a few times,on and off and see if this makes it stop, if not you would need to have this replaced. Any questions please post back.

I have a Kitchenaid Superba and when ever we turn on the ice maker. it says our filter needs to ebe changed. is that a problem? However before even when the filter was bad it still made ice. whats wrong?

Most refrigerators with filters will not work...with a bad filter...they will work initially ...for a while after the filter indicates it needs to be changed but over time the filter can become completely clogged...and no water will flow...also the impurities that were being filtered out...are now in the water and the ice and can accumulate in the ice tray...or at the spot where water is dispensed into the tray...with real hard water calcium can build up and inhibit water flow. I would definitely change the filter..... I had the same problem and the filter and the monitor for the filter are tied into the yes it can definitely stop the water flow.

I hope this helps....good luck...please rate me...The Fang
