White lights blurring pix when taking pix outdoors

Everytime i take pix outdoors, vertical and horizontal lines are blurring the pictures. This also happens when i shoot with bright lights on. I tried fixing it using iso, adjusting brightness etc, but it doesn't work. i bought the camera just last nov 2008.what's wrong with it? i didn't drop it, it was not mishandled. when i take pictures in bright places especially in daylight it appears almost white and there are horizontal lines through it. what can i do?

It is actually CCD Failure !! U ARE LUCKY ! u can get it repaired FREE OF COST from canon just call them on the number if u are in US go to the link below and they will send u postage paid envelope and repair free of cost PLS RATE ME FIXYA for the help dont u think i deserve it

CASIO EXILIM digital camera photo resolution

The Digimax A7 Doesn't work outdoors, because on top of the camera, try taking a picture, but hold your hand on the top of your camera (Cover it) it's light sensitive. On top their is a built in sensor, the Darker it is the darker the picture is, the lighter, the lighter. If you cover it, (Usually on top) It should work fine outdoor, just don' t cover it indoor. My sanyo vpc-s670r digital camera has a blurred shot. how can i fix this problem? i also clean the lens still blurred especially when shotting outdoor.

You must take pictures gently. Blur picture may occur if you move during capturing a picture. Or your hand move too fast after taking a picture. Try to stay still for two or three second after push the capture button.
Blur picture when shooting outdoor can be caused by too much light. Don't forget to set your camera in outdoor or panorama mode, and turn of the flash light if you think its too bright.

When pictures are taken outside during the day they are unclear with some white horizontal lines and when taken indoors its ok.tried everything the manual said but still no changes

White shadow or white lines may occur if the light was too bright when you take the picture, especially in strong sun light. Have you turn off the flash light when you taking those picture ? If you haven't, then you should try to turn off your camera flash light manually. And I must remind you not to take a picture with your lens faced the sun light or other light (lamp etc) directly. Even if you take a picture outdoors, try to make your lens shaded by something, you can even use your own shadow to shade them.

did software update
did firmware update
did memory card format
I think it helped.
mine use to take good pix then got blurry.
seems to be better but just did it all and have only taken sample pix.

CCD failure !! thousands having the same problem

samsung will do it free of cost as all are doing it is a manufacturing fault they cant deny it pls contact ur local samsung support centre

A bright Horizontal Line indicates failure of teh Vertical deflection Circuits.
Get a competent Technician to have a look.

Had horizontal Lines replaced now have error 21 xray circuit

White horizontal line (no vertical deflection)
Check / replace R548, R549
Sound but no picture except for a couple of horizontal colour lines
Replaced the frame chip TDA8356, set now ok
Severe vertical jitter on picture, horizontal sides of picture ragged
Replacing the TDA4950 cured the fault
White line down centre of screen (top to bottom}
Replace C805

same with me....brightest pix and when you zoom a bit..there r all white multicoloured lines..

and sometimes when i browse through my pix a message comes up saying " file error"
