The restore files are here. Mustek don't seem to support it any more You will also need to download the manual for instructions.

Try to remove the hard disk and check it with CHKDSK on your windows system with a USB rack.
If there is a problem, format it with this and restore the files(
Then it will work again.

If your hard disk is correct, then you need to check the electronic device, connection, battery, and so on... Otherwise a check of your device has to be performed by an expert in electonic.

good luck!

Try reformatting the unit using your PC as a FAT formatting. Don't use "quick format" so you can completely erase any glitchy memory points.

Also, press and hold the Reset button (little hole on the bottom right of the player) to reset the software.

Good luck!

Are you trying to restore the files you previously had on your Mustek or just trying to get it to work as it did before the format? If you're just trying to get it to load, follow these instructions:

"Install the PVR Console software in the bundled CD and connect the device to PC. The software will help to restore system data and boot up files to the device automatically. When the copying is done, restart the device for twice."

If you're trying to restore the data you accidentally formatted, connect it to your PC and try using a program such as Free Undelete to restore the files that were previously deleted. In the program, you need to browse to the drive that your Mustek shows up as on your PC (so if the drive is X: you need to restore files on X in the program).

Sony NW-E505 MP3 Format Error

Press and hold the search/menu button for half a second in stop mode. The menu screen is displayed. Rotate the shuttle switch to select "Advanced Menu" > and press the play/stop button to confirm. Rotate the shuttle switch to select "Format" and press the play/stop button to confirm. Rotate the shuttle switch to select "OK" and press the play/stop button to confirm. "Formatting..." blinks and start formatting. When formatting is complete "complete" is displayed.
This is how i get rid of the problem "Format Error".

Hi, If you haven't solved this problem, I would be interested in buying the Mustek for spares - let me know.
