Reinstallation problem
i was using compaq visual fortran 6.5. i un installed it due to some reasons. when i tried to re install it doesn't accept my cd keys and says "you have enetered an invalid serial number" although the key is working one.
i am stuck.......kindly helpppppppppp.......

- I am having the same problem. re-installing XP SP3 did NOT work.I'm trying to get 6.0 installed so I can do the 6.5 then 6.6 upgrades

Same error here. Compaq Visual Fortran 6.5/6.6.
I think is a problem related to Windows XP SP3.
- Solution:
Re-install Windows XP SP3 (integrated).
Right after installation (no reboot) run the CVF installer. It will work.
Then do normall installation stuff.
If you have Windows XP SP2 you won't have any problem.
Hope it helps.
Couldn't find ANY solution with SP3 installed before CVF installation.

I am having the same issue with XP SP2. I have not had sucess with either 6.5 or 6.6a installs and keep getting wrong serial number errors.
Has anyone sucessfully installed 6.5/6.6 on XP SP2 with Symantec Endpoint Protection? Or know of a good work around SEP?

IT CAN BE CAUSED BY ANTIVIRUS!
I had the same problem, and finally it turned out that it was my antivirus McAfee which blocked the access. To resolve it, I temporarily disabled "Access Protection" at the McAfee VirusScan console, then I successfully installed Compaq Fortran.
