It could be your computer needs more ram memory, or if you have enough you need to reload office. Also go into control panel, click on system-->& advanced tab click the button that sayes best performance,& try that.

have you changed the program these documents were made with
using another program to open these documents may cause you this problem
or open word select tools from the drop down list you will see language you can change the language
also open up word select view from the drop down list select toolbars select standard ,formatting
also open up word across to the left you will see arial,times new roman,arial black to name a few of the different languages from the drop down list your documents will be read in

You can always reinstall the operating system but you need to buy the software. Then download the device drivers for the laptop. The Toshiba website has all the drivers for your laptop. Another possible solution is for you guys to contact toshiba and ask if they can provide the factory restore CD for your laptop.

Please first uninstall all the existing versions of MS Office. Then try to clean temporary files, cache and registry then install MS Office.

if you want to install only MS Office 2007, no need to install MS office 2003 and upgrade. directly install MS Office 2007.

Make sure the format that you are saving your document in is .doc or .rtf.  Then find the file in My Documents, right click, and select open with.  Then select Word 2003.

Where were you saving the old Excel files to: c:\my documents for example. Is your new Excel saving or retrieving documents from the same location? If not, it will look like the old files are gone, when Excel is simply looking in the wrong place.

An installation won't wipe out data files--they're in two different locations. If you do a global wildcard search (*.xls) you will probably find them.

I bet it also feels like it wants to stall as well. I think my car was at around 65k and it did the same. It is the spark plugs and the coil. My mistake was going to the dealership where they charge you too much. Any experienced mechanic can do it. Changing the coil is also in the manual.
