Machine stopped 1/2 empty mid way thru drain from wash cycle. Removed kick panel, drained machine and removed (wife's)?X#*? bra wire from pump which was jammed. Repowered, light on but no action. Tried different points on timer, off at power again etc. Wonder if there is a reset trick that needs activating?
No joy, machine has large rotary dial RHS of machine that you rotate to required setting and then push in to start. Middle of front has three push buttons - power on/off, cold wash & economy buttons that can also be selected . Power on/off switch illuminates light but nothing else.

Hey there, follow up on power problem with Whirlpool front loader.
Bypassed door interlock switch and presto away we go!
Removed switch and drilled out rivets to find contacts melted, copper discoloured and ceramic insulation cracked! Thinking pump when jammed was drawing high amps via switch which led to meltdown. Ordered new switch today so hope all will be well.

If the machine does not drain the parts that can be responsible are the drain
system and pressure switch. Motor and control board must also be tested if the first two are Ok. If machine is a
top loader testing will start from lid switch. a first action will
consist in checking the drain hose at the back and checking the drain
filter accessible from lower front side of your Whirlpool.
ok we have to take bottom front panel off,,theres three torex head screws..now straght in front of you is the pump ,,remove the filter turn it counterclockwise,,theres always a little water in it so be prepared...remove clogg and we should be good all coins are mine,,onthejob
water pump blocked with nylon stuffing from old pillow.removed front panel from hinges under the lid. water pump at the right hand corner removed hose then removed 2 cups of nylon threads and stuffing forced into pumps small openings where it was compacted to a solid mass.
"o" is an unsual code. usually it will have an "f" then a number. it may be that you are having a draining issue. is the unit full or have some water left in it? if so take off the front panel and see if you can remove the sump cover. be ready for water to come out, then remove whatever is blocking the pump and sump area. it most liekly has lint or items in there causing no drain.
If you found coins and such in the drain filter then there is a possiblility that the impeller in the drain pump motor was damaged and you are not getting good water flow thru it. The machine will error out and stop mid cycle if it detects it has not drained in a set amount of time. OE indicated a drain error.
I suspect you need to have the drain pump motor assembly replaced.
Remove drain hose from where it connects to the plumbing under the sink/tub. Inspect the spigot. If clogged, clean. If clean, then tilt machine back and remove drum to pump hose from pump. Check hose and also drain pump. Clear any obstructions.
