Same problem here. 360 has been working perfectly well on the TV for over 18 months now I'm getting "mode not supported" (my Samsung model is 32"). Have tried everything I can think of. Something casued by the new 360 dashboard possibly? Seems unlikely though...

Same problem here on a 40 inch samsung. I tried using standard def and unplugging everything but that did not work either. Worked fine for over 18 months and all of a sudden mode not supported

I had the same problem so I sent it to the support. It came back with a new motherboard and now it's working perfectly.

My 360 and samsung hdtv worked fine for about a year and now im getting the problems mentioned above, not sure if its a console/cable/telly problem but i did the following (temporary?) fix

Unplug your 360 and plug it into another television set, it seems to reset/calibrate itself somehow and then when you plug it back into your samsung tv it will work - mine did but for how long i dont know.

I'm not geting any picture or sound from either av or hd. tv says mode not supported. i thought it might be the av hd cable so i got a new one but still the same problem. it just stopped working last week...

this is just a suggestion but when i switched tv's one time i had a resolution issue, the tv i was playing on had a lower resolution than what my xbox was set at and would not play audio or video, to fix this start your xbox up and while its starting up hold down the "Y" button and the right trigger at the same time, it should revert your xbox back to the default settings, hope this could help

Can I use my HP2009v computer screen with the X-Box 360 Elite

Hello,

In order to make this work you need the Xbox 360 VGA HD AV cable.

Following link will give you an image of the cable itself:
http://hardware.teamxbox.com/screenshots/screen-hires/42546/Xbox-360-VGA-HD-AV-Cable/

Unfortunately you wont be able to get the highest resolution with the cable.

Here you have a list of supported resolutions:

CHECK FAN 2 DISPLAYS ON TV - 2 MINS LATER SWITCHES OFF

Normally we replace the fan because it can't run at the correct speed and the Micro detects that, then sends the error to the screen for you to see.
