only so much information can be sent or recieved, it is like that on all phones, and some phones will send a huge looking message but the other person receives it in parts. Like the palm pre it will tell the person receiving the message if its the first of 2 messages or 6 etc
If your Centro is in warranty then you should probably take it to a Verizon store and let them repair or replace it.
If you want to try to fix it yourself, a Google search for "palm centro screen replacement" will show you several sources for the parts needed. There are also some special tools you may need to buy. This video shows the process and should help you decide if this is something you want to try:
Every operator has its parametre for recieving data or GPRS and 3G (UMTS).Your phone is configured for airtel but if you want to use others their parameters must be entered separately and set as defaul correct one when changing SIM. To find parameters wisit other operators pages, there may be special numbers where you can call and recieve data messages containing parameters and simply save or find instructions how to manually enter them. Also you must activate WAP/GPRS function in every opearator and it winn need aditional charge.
that's not normal you need to contact your provider and let them know that you have problems with your phone some times n because they want your business they give you a new phone.
Generally, 160 is the default limit for text messages. Some carriers will allow for up to 500 characters but that's usually within the same network (e.g. Verizon to Verizon). This is why text messages often use modified words (e.g. r u ok?, lol).
Try surfing your browser. If you don't experience any problem with surfing your browser, then your Centro, itself, may have some software problems.
Now if you do have a problem navigating the web, you will need to "update the data profile". All this troubleshoot can be done by Sprint Tech Support and I can provide you with the number.

call ATT, mine did this same problem, and it for some reason got kicked off in the ATT system that i didnt have the correct messaging plan anymore. it sounds odd, but it fixed mine. good luck!
you may try a master reset after backing up to your PC if that doesnt work.

I've had the same issue, and I was told that in order to send or recieve picture messages, you have to subscribe to Verizon's Internet plan. The reason that you can still send and recieve text messages is because it's on a different system. I was a bit peeved when I found this out after the fact.
